Janelle Abbott Staley (Dancer)
Janelle Abbott Staley received her early training as a member of the Grand Rapids Ballet and went on to earn a BFA in Ballet from University of Utah. In New York, Janelle danced with Andrew Palermo and Taye Diggs' contemporary company dre.dance, and was the longtime assistant to choreographer Salim "Slam" Gauwloos. She has been featured in videos by director David LaChapelle and choreographer John Byrne, including Elton John's The Red Pianoconcert, dancing a onscreen in a duet to "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me," and in Norah Jones' "Those Sweet Words" music video. Janelle has performed on Broadway stages for BC/EFAs's Gypsy of the Year (award-winner with Aida cast), at Lincoln Center and at Carnegie Hall. Her regional credits include Shakespeare Theatre Company's Twelfth Night choreographed by Sean Curran (Dance Captain), A Chorus Line, Cabaret, and Peter Pan (Tiger Lily/Dance Captain). Janelle has taught at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. Now in New England, she has been a member of Kat Nasti Dance since 2013.
Tara Lynch (Dancer)
Tara Lynch, originally from Ohio, began her dance training at South Dayton School of Dance. She completed her BFA in Dance Performance from New York University Tisch School of the Arts. At NYU she performed works by Nathan Trice, Pamela Pietro, James Sutton and Jolinda Menendez. She has worked professionally with Cema Dance, Indah Walsh Dance Company, Artisan Dance Company, and performed Polaris alongside members of Kidd Pivot in Lincoln Center's White Lights Festival. She has choreographed and produced an evening length show in collaboration with BAREFOOTHAUS, performed at Judson Memorial Church and Dixon Place. She has also shown her work in several other performances including Dumbo Dance Festival, Peridance Student Showcase, and the Boston Contemporary Dance Festival.
